Our Background Story

Young Professionals Forum’s (YPF) mission is to promote and provide positive youth development through specialized projects. These projects offer comprehensive support services and change opportunities to help them achieve their academic and life-set goals. Within the framework of the Young Professionals Forum Agenda, YPF provides assistance in various areas including but not limited to the following: 

  • Social Services 
  • Job Training, and  Placement 
  • Youth Leadership, and  Development 
  • Youth Intervention Programs

What We Do

Social Services

Young Professionals Forum Organization in partnership with other nonprofit organizations and government agencies like the Montgomery county department of Health and Human Services to provide for Holiday Giving Project.

YPF provides services

Emergency Food aid:
We provide short-term, long term food distribution and other supplementary feeding programs.  The primary purpose is to provide an emergency response to hunger.
Our emergency food distribution includes frozen meats, canned beef and pork, rice, fruit juices, dried pasta, beans, canned fruits, and vegetables.

Holiday Giving Project:

Thanksgiving Basket: The sample of basket includes

Turkey (12-14 Ibs) 

A grocery store gift card, 

Canned vegetables, 

Holiday foods and dessert

Toy Distribution:

Sample of December gifts for children 

Store gift cards, educational toys and books, electronic games, and board games (no batteries.)

Youth Outreach Programs:

Through our outreach programs, Young Professionals Forum has provided youth leadership intervention, conferences, and campaigns, this prevents teen pregnancy by providing young people with essential education, supporting academic achievement, encouraging parent/teen communication, promoting responsible citizenship, and building self-confidence among their participants.
